Star Wars Hunters - J-3DI - Character Concept

Character Concept for Star Wars Hunters.
The brief here was really clear - The Grand Arena wanted a Jedi Knight to wow the crowds - but there’s really not many of them around at this point in the timeline! So of course - they custom built a Droid Jedi. We were trying to capture that stoic Jedi feel, the shapes of those robes, and looking back at classic Star Wars inspirations like 70s tech, and working closely with Lucasfilm games to develop this new Hunter. One of our key reference points we found was the Statue of Liberty - a sculpted metal representation of flowing robes, which really helped find the final style of his form.
